The AIP SUOMI / FINLAND (AIP) and other aeronautical publications and aeronautical information products are published by Fintraffic Air Navigation Services Ltd (hereinafter Fintraffic ANS) on behalf of the State of Finland and with the supervision of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency.

The AIP is prepared in accordance with the Standards and recommended Practices (SAPRs) of Annex 15 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and the Aeronautical Information Services Manual (ICAO Doc 8126). The information is shown, as far as practicable, in accordance with the sequence and numbering of AIS Manual. Charts contained in the AIP are produced in accordance with Annex 4 to the Convention on Interntional Civil Aviation and the Aeronautical Chart Manual (ICAO Doc 8697). Differences from ICAO Standards. Recommended Practices and Procedures are given in subsection GEN 1.7.

AIP is published in electronic form, in Finnish and in English, on www.ais.fi and in Published AIP Management System (PAMS) of European AIS Database (EAD) of EUROCONTROL.

The AIP is made up of three Parts, General (GEN), En-route (ENR) and Aerodromes (AD), each divided into sections and subsections as applicable, containing various types of information subjects.

4.1.1. Part 1 - General (GEN)

Part 1 consists of five sections containing information as briefly described hereafter.
GEN 0. — General rules and procedures — Preface, Record of AIP amendments; Record of AIP Supplements; Checklist of AIP pages; List of hand amendments to the AIP; Table of contents to Part 1. Part 3 consists of four sections containing information as briefly described hereafter.

AD 2. — Aerodromes. — Detailed information about aerodromes, including charts related to the aerodrome. — Uncontrolled aerodromes. AD 3. — Heliports — Information concerning heliports. The following definitions have been used and they have the following meanings: To be developed (TBD) : Information is in course of preparation and it will be published at later stage. Nil information (NIL) : None, nothing or nothing to be informed. No information available (NIA) : No information was available concerning the subject or detail. |
Fintraffic ANS owns the copyrights to Finnish aeronautical information publications. Third parties have the copyrights to background material used on maps (e.g. roads, waterways, urban areas). The related publishing permissions are shown in AIP, GEN 3.2.
Fintraffic ANS reserves the right to change the content, service description, price and pricing method of the services it provides. Aeronautical data is available for further refining and research without a separate fee or agreement. Resale of aeronautical information publications as such is not allowed without a separate agreement. Aeronautical data in the EAD database is accessed on the basis of an agreement between the customer and the EAD. For more details, www.ead.eurocontrol.int. |
In the compilation of the AIP, care has been taken to ensure that the information contained therein is accurate and complete. Raw data suppliers (airport operators, authorities, companies, communities, etc.) are obliged to transmit aeronautical information to the AIS service provider under the obligation to publish. The AIS service provider is responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the information during the publishing process. The supplier of the information is always responsible for the accuracy of raw data.

Fintraffic ANS is liable for any direct damages resulting from the provision of service, which can be demonstrated to have been caused by Fintraffic ANS's intentional or negligent acts. Fintraffic ANS is not liable for any consequential or indirect damage resulting from the provision of service, nor for pure economic losses or any such damage the Fintraffic ANS could not have reasonably anticipated. Compensation for damage must be claimed from Fintraffic ANS in writing within one month of detecting the error on which the claim for compensation is based, or within one month of the time when the error should have been detected.
